Andy Detwiler is a Principal of Virtua Research, responsible for sales and client relations. Previous to founding Virtua, Andy had a researching consulting business operating out of Vandham Securities. Prior to joining Vandham he was President and Director of Detwiler, Mitchell & Co., and CEO of the broker dealer subsidiary Fechtor Detwiler. While at “Fechtor” Andy served in such capacities as Managing Director of Capital Markets, Director of Research and Head of Institutional Sales. He was employed by Fechtor for 17 years.
Andy is a graduate of the University of Vermont.
Venkat Chalasani is a Principal of Virtua Research, responsible for research project management. Prior to founding Virtua, he was a partner at Concordia Capital Associates, LLC a Boston based hedge fund and investment management firm investing in global equities and related derivatives. Prior to joining Concordia, Venkat was with State Street Global Advisors (SSgA) where he was the head of the Global Equity Strategy, a fundamental portfolio product that he helped develop. In addition, he was also involved with International Growth Opportunities and Socially Responsible Strategies. While at SSgA, Venkat also developed a new hedge fund strategy involving quantitative models. Venkat also worked with HCL Hewlett-Packard as an Account Executive selling technology solutions to large corporate customers.
Venkat has an MBA from Boston College and Bachelor of Technology (Hons.) from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) at Kharagpur. He holds the CFA charter.
Prasanna Walimbe is Head of Indian Operations, responsible for assisting in product development and data collection. Prasanna was previously employed by Infosys Technologies Limited as a solutions architect heading up a technology based solutions team that assisted in implementing Basel II, Sarbanes- Oxley and similar initiatives. Previous responsibilities at Infosys included serving a leading global investment bank as program manager and participating in setting up a dedicated delivery team for a leading credit card provider as a key team member.
Prasanna has an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) at Calcutta in Finance and Technology and a Bachelor of Technology (Hons.) from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) at Kharagpur. He is a Certified Software Quality Auditor (CSQA).
