VIRTUA RESEARCH, INC., located in BOSTON, MA has an opening for Financial Analyst. Job duties and requirements are as follows:

Create and maintain consensus forecast models by analyzing sell-side models of client companies and valuation methodologies in sell-side equity research reports. Apply fundamental and relative valuations based on consensus estimates for various client companies in healthcare, energy, software, retail, industrials, utilities, real estimate, consumer discretionary, and consumer staples sectors. Perform variance analysis after company earnings results. Identify, define, standardize and track operational and Non-GAAP measures of publicly traded companies to create peer benchmarking models. Communicate with managers and directors of Investor Relations and FP&A departments to create deeper insight into their consensus estimates and peer benchmarking models. Lead and manage analyst teams who are responsible for data collection and data quality check of company’s key products; Interactive Analyst Center, Consensus Estimate Modeling, Peer Benchmarking. Train and provide direction to offshore financial analysts on weekly analyst calls. Calculate margins, growth rates, activity, liquidity, solvency, profitability ratios for publicly traded companies. Keep current with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) rules to adjust and update financial statements as needed. Collect both quantitative and qualitative financial information from various sources for ad-hoc requests during the day. Perform quality control over company historical data to be included in web delivered financial modules for publicly traded companies and build validation check-lines. Define and recommend data collection methods for data collection team to improve data accuracy. Collaborate with software development team to create, validate, and improve prototypes for new financial solutions. Increase productivity by developing automated accounting applications; coordinating information requirements; technical optimization, working closely with software development team. Review and maintain companies’ financial statements, presentations, and operational data. Interact with consensus clients’, problem solving, data formatting, sharing best practices. Communicate and manage workflow of Company deliverables to clients.

Requires: Master’s degree in Finance or a closely related field. 40 hrs./wk. (MON-FRI, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM) at Boston, MA. $85,363.00/yr.
